Yes they are legit but a recent incident involving Buy&Ship and a lost package served as a painful reminder of the crucial role insurance plays in international shipping. I had purchased a $1000 item on eBay and opted to use Buy&Ship's forwarding service to get it to the Philippines. The initial stages of the shipping process were uneventful; the package made it across international borders without any apparent issues. However, the real problem arose when Buy&Ship transferred the package to NinjaVan for the final leg of its journey within the country. My expensive purchase was nowhere to be found; it had been lost in transit.

NinjaVan acknowledged their responsibility for the lost package and assured me they would reimburse Buy&Ship. This news initially brought a wave of relief, but that feeling quickly dissipated when I learned about Buy&Ship's policy regarding uninsured items. Their coverage for lost packages without insurance was capped at a mere $100, a paltry sum compared to the $1000 I had spent.

I spent what felt like an eternity trying to communicate with Buy&Ship, explaining the situation and hoping they would offer a more reasonable solution. Regrettably, their response remained consistent: the maximum reimbursement for my lost, uninsured package was $100. The entire experience was incredibly disheartening. The initial ease of using Buy&Ship was completely overshadowed by this disappointing and costly outcome.

This unfortunate event has indelibly etched the importance of insurance into my mind.
